About W. A. Hudson

My name is Andy Hudson, I was born in Richmond, Virginia and then moved to Nashville in 1996. I currently live with my wife and two teenage children in Franklin, Tennessee.
While I did not go to art school, I have picked up drawing and painting techniques over the years from community art classes and books, and since the dawn of the high speed internet, YouTube has been a great resource for me.
Artists who have been a big influence on me are: Monet, Van Gogh, James Gurney, Bob Ross, Mary Blair, and Teoh Yi Chie.

Ever since I was a wee lad I have sketched, painted and doodled here and there, but it was in October of 2019, when I participated in an online art project called Inktober, and challenged myself to draw a picture everyday for the month of October, that I really woke up to how much I love to make art. I have since become more focused on improving my skills, and now I draw and/or paint something everyday.

Here Are Some Pictures.
